Denmark Open: Like men’s double, no doubt in men’s single

Loading

Last match of the day was men’s single between world champion and world number 1, Chen Long from China, and Tommy Sugiarto from Indonesia, ranked 12 in the world.

Tommy Sugiarto won the first point of the match, and that was both first and last time he was leading. Chen long won seven consecutive points and he never let go of that lead. In usual cool style he won the first game by 21-12.

Second game continued a bit in the same way – with Chen Long in the lead. Sugiarto gave what he could, but the match never reached that high level one could have hoped for.

At 4-4 the Chinese say goodbye taking four and later five consecutive points. He increased his lead to 18-10 before Sugiarto got a few more points, but that was it for the Indonesian. With two times 21-12 Chen Long won his third consecutive and fourth title in total at Denmark Open.
